Warning: Illegal Nike Product on AliExpress – Do Not Buy

AliExpress is well known as a platform where you can find almost anything – from handy gadgets to affordable clothing and shoes. Unfortunately, some items listed there should never be for sale. A recent example is the so-called Nike Air Max 1 ’87 Photon Dust, which was accidentally purchased via my website.

I want to be absolutely clear from the start: these shoes are likely an illegal counterfeit of the original Nike brand. Although the price may seem attractive – €65.93 including VAT and with no extra charges – it’s important to understand that this is a suspected counterfeit product.

I did not make the purchase myself, but the product was found through my blog and ordered by a visitor. As a result, I automatically received a commission from AliExpress. Since I do not want to earn money from illegal or misleading products, I have decided to donate the entire commission to a positive cause: the Foundation for a Drug-Free World. Learn more at https://www.drugfreeworld.org.

I have also reported this product to AliExpress in the hope that it will be removed soon. Counterfeit goods are not only illegal, but they also pose a risk to consumers and harm legitimate businesses. In addition, customs may seize the product, which can lead to fines or confiscation.

My advice is simple: do not buy this product. Always go for genuine items, preferably from the brand’s official website or authorized retailers.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Why are these types of products still available on AliExpress?
AliExpress is an open marketplace with millions of sellers. Some products slip through the cracks. Fortunately, consumers can report suspicious listings so that action can be taken.

Can I get a refund if I already bought it?
If you already ordered and are unsure about the authenticity, contact AliExpress immediately via their dispute system. You can also reach out to me – I’m happy to help, although I’m not an official customer service representative.

What happens to the commission you received?
It will be fully donated to https://www.drugfreeworld.org. I don’t want to earn a single cent from this type of practice.

How can I tell if a product is fake?
Pay attention to the price (too good to be true?), vague or inconsistent product descriptions, and missing official logos. If you have doubts – just don’t buy it.

My website originally started because thousands of people were asking questions about Chinese online stores on the old VraagAlex site. That support is still available at https://alexandervandijl.nl/doneer, where you can also donate to help keep this project going.
